Highlander Discovery Rucksack Review

A Review of The Highlander Discovery Rucksack - A Unisex Trekking Rucksack

Good Points:

  • Adjustable Back System
  • Integrated Rain Cover
  • Thick Padded Straps

Not So Good Points:

  • No Front Zip Opening
    • Stiff Bottom Zip

If you’re looking for comfort and space in your rucksack suitable for  hiking, camping or travelling trips with the added bonus of being cabin luggage friendly the Highlander Discovery Rucksack could be the one.

Firstly, the ABS (better known as an Adjustable Back System) really does offer excellent and  comfortable back support whilst the thickly padded waist strap gives the good solid support that you will need – all great if you suffer with a slightly ‘iffy’ back!

Good ‘bells and whistles’ are included such as a built in hydration port

The bag has lots of outside storage possibilities with extra ‘shot cord’ loops and adjustable straps for fitting in say a sleeping mat or even ‘the plague of the hiker’ wet clothes.

The main inside section is large with good quality ‘draw strings’ and can fit a surprising amount of kit.  There Is, as an extra attraction a separate front compartment useful for your sleeping bag or again damp clothes  keeping them apart from the rest of your kit.

Good ‘bells and whistles’ are included such as a built in hydration port and an integrated rain cover stashed on the bottom.
