North Face Surge Backpack Review
The North Face Surge Outdoor Backpack Review
- Excellent Storage
- Laptop Compartment
Not So Good Points:
- Weight Support
- Not for Longer Hikes
- No Waistband Pocket
The North face Surge outdoor back pack is excellent for shorter treks and trips especially those where you will need to take your laptop, tablet, phone etc. Also brilliant for the commuter, cyclist or student.
Storage, storage storage – there is a lot of it !
Starting with the ‘Front stash’ fleece lined sleeve for keeping your smaller valuables safe and accessible. There are two front zip compartments one lined with nylon the other with fleece.
The front organisation/admin pocket offers “a place for everything and everything in its place” with multiple smaller compartments.
The star of the show though, as far as the storage is concerned, is the large ‘suspended’ lap top compartment on the back of the pack which offers extra protection and easy access.
The main middle zip section is spacious and good for any other kit you need.
You still get the all important two water bottle sleeves, compression straps to keep the pack comfortable and close to the body and good well padded durable straps. If there is a slight criticism it would be that the pack does not supports its own weight when packed and upright.
Overall, a great backpack for everyday use.
Masses of individual pockets, very media friendly and separate laptop compartment.
Comfort & Durability
Material is ultra flexible and hard wearing with well padded straps.
Style & Value
Remarkable value for its price point and very stylish.
