The Salomon XA Pro 3D GTX hiking shoe is ready for most outdoor pursuits.
If you are planning a walk in the damp countryside or a more strenuous rocky road hike these have got it covered.
Whichever sport you prefer; running, hiking, hill climbing, this shoe could be the perfect one for you.
The design has been created to provide the perfect balance between ruggedness, comfort and style.
It has a drawstring fastening that can be tucked away in a small pocket on the shoe. This method of fastening can become loose so you may be constantly trying to find the right tension. That said, it does make it quick and easy to pull on the shoe.
It is the attention to small details like this that really make this hiking shoe stand out.
Overall the build allows for protection against small scuffs at the toe, heel and sides. It may also be slightly heavier than most quality hiking shoes but it does provide comfort and waterproofing with its GORE-TEX upper membrane.
Underfoot cradling is provided by the Dual Density EVA midsole, giving enough cushioning and support for the longest of hikes. The low rise doesn’t give as much ankle support as hiking boots but it is a very popular mid-price range one-stop hiking shoe.
Material bridge connects tongue to the upper eliminating debris from entering the shoe.
